Expo 2020 Dubai – Firdaus Orchestra
Ahead of Expo 2020 Dubai, Jo was selected as Principal Bassoon and Section Leader of Woodwind and Brass for the Firdaus Orchestra, an all female ensemble created for the World Expo.
In this prestigious role, Jo combined her artistry with leadership, mentoring musicians in the woodwind and brass sections while delivering performances that spanned classical, contemporary, Arabic, Bollywood, and film music.
During the six month global event, she collaborated with world renowned guest artists, composers, and conductors, performing for international audiences and representing the UAE on a cultural stage seen by millions. Following on from Expo, she continues to perform with the orchestra on a freelance basis.

Beyond the stage, Jo brings her expertise to the studio, working with world renowned composers and musicians. Her contributions can be heard in film scores, cross genre projects, and studio recordings that blend diverse musical traditions.
